During question time in the legislative council the Hon. Jennifer Gardiner asked the Hon. Duncan Gay to update the house on the boat building industry the response was a tribute to Steber.

Marine Rescue Iluka Yamba NSW conducted the commissioning ceremony for their new Steber 38 rescue vessel on the 9 September. The vessel IY30 was proudly commissioned in the presence of volunteers and general public.  Chris Elford of Steber International was present during the ceremony.  Kay Cottee AO christened the vessel with the traditional pouring of champagne. Steber achieves Silver status recognition for sustainability with the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water.

The new model 3800 Twin Cabin Flybridge Cruiser is well under way, and launching is planned for July 2011 with some exciting new features.
