Steber International
Receives a Bronze Award for Sustainability
As part of the Sustainability Advantage Program run under the Department
of Environment, Climate Control and Water. Steber International was selected
as a recipient in receiving Bronze status.
Steber International has introduced new initiatives and process to achieve
this award some of these include:-
- Integrating our Management
system to include Environment
- Installation and commissioning
of a solvent chemical recycling system, currently recovering 2 out 3
litres of solvent material.
- Have reduced the quantities
of printers used on site by 80%
- Set Targets to reduce waste
to landfill by 70% and reduce power consumption by 10%
- Fully insulated our composite
shed allowing 24 hour laminating and reduce the demand for air-conditioning
- Have introduced recycling
systems allocated to all recycled material used.
Other News
The new model 3800 Twin Cabin Flybridge Cruiser is well under way, and
launching is planned for late 2010.
The electric
powered 7 metre vessel has commenced with the first hull out-of-the-mould.
Research & Development into the optimum Power Drive unit will commence
in July.
A new model Trailerable 2300 tooling is scheduled to commence prior to
Xmas 2010 with possible release at the 2011 Sanctuary Cove Boatshow.
