Steber’s partnership with Yanmar lasts the test of time

A partnership spanning 20 years, involving the installation of around 150 engines speaks volumes for the relationship between Steber International and Yanmar.
Steber has built Yanmar powered vessels for both the domestic and export markets.
General manager, Alan Steber said: “Two of the latest Yanmar powered export vessels have been a 52ft Canyon Runner for Fregate Island Resort in the Seychelles and a 60ft Fisheries Research Vessel for the Mauritius Government”.
“Prior to that we exported a Yanmar powered vessel to Qatar and another to Eden Island, also in the Seychelles.
“We chose Yanmar for a wide range of vessels including marine rescue and police because of their performance and reliability in all sea conditions and their ease of maintenance”, Mr Steber said.
He was making the comments during a visit by a senior Yanmar executive to Steber’s Taree factory, prior to his return to Japan following a four year secondment to Singapore.
Shinsuke Fujimoto is the Area Manager for No.2 Sales Group for the Marine Products Division of Yanmar Asia (Singapore) Corporation.
Mr Fujimoto was accompanied on his visit by Ian Mills, NSW Marine Sales Manager for Power Equipment, Australian Yanmar Distributor.
Mr Fujimoto advised of his replacement and discussed future model engine upgrades.
He also congratulated Alan and thanked him for Steber’s ongoing support.
