Steber International recently celebrated 50 years of manufacturing from it’s Taree factory, based on the Mid North Coast of NSW.
The occasion was marked with a four-page special feature in the local Manning River Times newspaper (see accompanying page snapshots).
“While the business was started in 1946 at Narrabeen by Bruce and Beryl Steber, a major transformation took place with the move to Taree”, according to current General Manager, Alan Steber.
“We transitioned from small recreational runabouts into large recreational and commercial boats for the Australian and overseas markets.
“In recent years defence work has become more prominent – from new builds, to refits and now including specialist rapid response vessels”, he said.
